RICHARD.

“Maybe people like cute…

[It was very, very hard for Dick Grayson to concentrate on anything other than Kori’s absolutely captivating green eyes.  They were hypnotic and if one wasn’t careful, they could get lost in them.  In fairness, the super spy was well on his way to falling under their spell when he felt Kori’s angelic touch grace his skin.  Her hands felt different now, maybe it was because she was touching his bare skin, maybe it was because he was falling for her.]

“Yeah if I were to lose a leg, it would certainly put a damper on this date..I mean get-together..”

[Dick Grayson scolded himself mentally for the slip-up, now Kori would likely remind him that they both need to be moving forward.  An idea that previously Grayson would support, but not now and it was evident in how he looked at her.  His head was titled, pupils were dilating, skin was flushed.  In an attempt to divert attention from his subtle admission, Dick joked as he drifted closer towards Kori.]

“On second thought, maybe I like it here and if the fish don’t like it, I’ll break out my Shark-repellent.”

                                      _{kori caught the slip up the MOMENT that the four letter word left his lips. in that same second, her HEART started beating a mile a minute. the tiny omission left her happier than she should have been, especially given that the two had broken up years ago. was this some sort of SIGN? was there hope for the both of them yet?} 

                                      _{but, just as quickly as the thoughts occurred, they were GONE. torn to threads by get-together. considering, HOPING for them to get back together was vapid of her. they were supposed to be moving on and kori was sure that he had                                                                                           so then why couldn’t she?} 

                                      _{❝ i’m sure that you would be EQUALLY as charming without a leg. ❞}

                                      _{but the words are FLATTER, different than the ones she had said only a few moments ago. she wasn’t looking at him anymore, verdant eyes staring over his shoulder into the vast blue OCEAN. she couldn’t bring herself to MEET his, out of fear that he would recognize the stir of emotions within her own.} 

RICHARD.

[He couldn’t help but laugh at Kori’s little slip-up, what she might consider clumsy, Dick thought was absolutely adorable.  Smiling for a few seconds while Kori kept peering through the water and incorrectly guessing what Dick was referring to before he finally had enough.  Hopefully, she would take it well.]

“I was referring to the Tamaranean in front of me…..though after that little display, I may have to downgrade you to the cutest thing here.”

[Not even the vibrant ocean-life compared to Starfire and for so many years Dick had been blind to it, but not anymore.  He flinched at the sensation of having some of the fishes brush past his body and it caused him to move even closer to her. chuckling as Dick recognized their closeness.] 

“Sorry about that, I’m not sure these fish realize I’m not food..”

                                      _{kori couldn’t fight the INSTANT burst of red that scattered across her cheeks at his words, didn’t want to fight the almost giddy feelings fluttering in her stomach. dick had always been CHARMING but the emotions that she was FEELING because of his words were deeper than just charm. they were similar, almost identical to the same sort of things that he’d made her feel when they’d FIRST MET and, in a way, it was both completely breathtaking and utterly terrifying.} 

                                      _{❝ only the CUTEST thing? ❞}

                                      _{her words were FLIRTACIOUS                                                   teasing, even. a playful glint lit up her eyes as they danced between the small space between them before SETTLING on his own eyes. she got an IDEA and reached out across to him, hands settling on his shoulders before sliding down to this hands, curling her fingers around his and tugging on them.} 

                                      _{❝ we should probably swim out of this AREA if the fish are biting you. i do not want you to get hurt                                          or to lose a chunk of your body! ❞}

TEEN WOLF MEME || ACCEPTING

                                      _{❝ i am not fond of them either!!! ❞ kori responded, making a face as she RECALLED an incident a HALLOWEEN or so ago involving her, a pair of ninja’s that decided to spook her, and a (thankfully) misfired blast of solar power. she had to lie low after that INCIDENT.} 

RICHARD.

“I wasn’t planning on it, but since you asked nicely, what kind of person would I have to be to deny you?”

[It was a…. unique feeling, swimming in the water with just his briefs, certainly was going to be awkward when he got out.  Dick didn’t quite have the eyesight of Kori, but he was able to make out some of the sea life swimming around them.  It truly was therapeutic for the spy to be surrounded by such beautiful and peaceful creatures, chief among them, of course, was Starfire.  Without noticing what he was doing, Dick was slowly swimming his way to her.  His broad. defined, shoulders poking out of the water.]

“It certainly is, more life, more…freedom.  But it’s not the most beautiful thing here…”

[Dick should probably quit before he says something foolish.]

                                      _{as he swam up to her, she gave up on KEEPING her eyes on the water and let them stray, just a little bit, before she stopped herself. almost in a guilty manner, she sunk down UNTIL the water was right under her NOSE. however, the position didn’t end up lasting, for she breathed in a little too much saltwater and ended up having to cough it out, mentally CHIDING herself for the less than graceful moment.} 

                                      _{❝ what do you mean it is not the most BEAUTIFUL thing here? ❞}

                                      _{kori’s eyes began scanning the blue beneath them, trying to CATCH anything that she may have missed, COMPLETELY missing what he meant, ❝ i still do not see what you mean. are you talking about the fish? ❞}

DAWN OF JUSTICE MEME || ACCEPTING

                                      _{❝ perhaps it is, ❞ kori answered, the usual LILT in her tone missing. her face was serious as she added, ❝ i UNDERSTAND that gotham will always be a large part of your life but i will never understand it. time and time again, i have tried to but the ways of gotham city will continue to ELUDE me. ❞}

RICHARD.

“Of course, there are Kori, it’s the ocean..”

[Despite being reticent about his doubts regarding getting in the water with Kori, Dick couldn’t help but chuckle at her enthusiasm.   The Tamaraean’s cuteness was on full display.  It didn’t take long for him to strip down to his briefs.  Instead of giving Kori the green light to turn around, Dick took a few steps back before jumping into the water, landing a few feet from the alien.]

“You can turn around now..”

                                      _{❝ there are so many in this SPOT though! ❞ she exclaimed, gently batting the creatures around with her hand. she tempted to grab one and kiss it, just so that she could UNDERSTAND their language but, from what she had GATHERED, that sort of thing was apparently not okay to do on earth. for what reason, she wasn’t entirely sure. there were some customs here with reasoning behind them that TRULY eluded her.} 

                                      _{at the sound of his words, she TWIRLED around in the ocean, salt water splashing the area around her, ❝ you came in! ❞ she said, almost like she had half expected him to abandon the NOTION entirely, ❝ it is so lovely in here. look down, everything UNDERWATER is so beautiful, ❞ she kept her eyes on the ocean, perhaps in an effort to keep them away from his torso, ❝ the ocean is so much nicer than the pool. ❞}

RICHARD.

“Kori what are you doing..no please don’t pull me in!!!”

[With all the spy equipment on,  Dick Grayson wouldn’t have much success in the ocean.  He let out an exaggerated sigh and began to strip down.  It was good that the pair were out in the middle of the Atlantic with no one within five square miles of them, not that Dick was ashamed at the prospect of swimming in the ocean nearly naked, but he’d rather Kori be the only living witness.]

“Turn around please..”

                                      _{an excited smile crossed her face at his silent AGREEMENT to get into the water. she sank down into the water, stopping when the OCEAN water covered her face up to the tip of her nose. she initially covered her eyes but turned around at his request, looking down into the water for EXTRA measure.} 

                                      _{❝ are you done yet? there are a LOT of fish in here! ❞}

RICHARD.

[If Dick Grayson had a choice, he certainly wouldn’t be out in the ocean with Kori, but when the Tamaranean somehow got Agent 37′s phone number, he couldn’t refuse.  It might have had something to do with the fact that Dick was infatuated with the alien once again.  His mind was in a trance as he watched Kori swim around, her request breaking his concentration.]

“I’m sure it is, but I didn’t pack  swimming trunks..”

                                      _{❝ but that does not matter! ❞}

                                      _{she swam over to the agent, really just wanting some of his ATTENTION and grabbed his hands, attempting to PULL him into the water. part of her knew that this wasn’t a good idea, spending time with him, especially given the lingering feelings that she still had for him and the fact that there was NOTHING that could come of them but it was so hard to stay AWAY, ❝ it is very nice in here, i promise. ❞}

                                      _{if there was one thing that kori loved more than the SKIES on earth, it was the ocean. so much of it was so lovely, so UNEXPLORED, and hard for her to resist. it was difficult for her to see how anyone else could resist it as well. popping up from the water, she swam over to dick, PADDLING around momentarily in the water, ❝ you should go DEEP down into the water with me. it is so lovely down there!!! ❞}
